No, that's not some kind of bizarre saying with hidden Masonic meaning.
Back when I first started this blog in July, I lamented the fact that Blogger did not have a way to cut posts off and insert a "read more" link at the bottom, thus necessitating that extremely long posts would take up a lot of room on your front page. I have since gone to a third party method that involved monkeying around with the HTML of the blog layout. Thankfully, despite my usual technological butter-fingers, I actually got it to work and it's working beautifully.
But now, on its birthday of September 9 (my birthday as well!), they announced that they have finally implemented this feature. Finally!!!
What I've got works fine for me, and I don't want to go back to a basic template, but I may go back and edit those old posts and put this jump in. Or maybe not. Either way, it's nice that new bloggers will finally be able to implement this. Believe me, unless you only do short posts, you will love this feature.
It's about freakin' time.
